Boxes
Use outer dimensions. USPS uses dimensional weight over one cubic foot. Long, oversized, unusual-shape and hazardous pieces can trigger fees or restrictions.

Pallets
Freight class, density and accessorials matter as much as distance. A reweigh or reclassification can produce a bill after delivery.

Containers
Check service-area availability at the exact address, loading time, storage billing, final delivery method, permits and driveway clearance.

Moving contents
Declare batteries, power banks, aerosols, paint, fuel and solvents before buying postage. Ordinary sample rates may not apply.
